Choco-Sushi Delight

This Choco-Sushi Delight is a one-of-a-kind mix of Japanese tradition and sweet decadence. Velvety dark chocolate covers sushi rice and is topped with colorful fruits and crunchy coconut flakes to make a dessert that is both beautiful to look at and impossible to resist.

Ingredients:

  • 200g sushi rice
  • 300ml water
  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 100g strawberries
  • 50g mango, thinly sliced
  • 50g kiwi, thinly sliced
  • 50g raspberries
  • 50g toasted coconut flakes
  • 30g toasted sesame seeds
  • Edible gold leaf optional

Instructions:

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear

In a saucepan, combine the sushi rice and water

Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 18-20 minutes or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender

Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and let it cool slightly

While the rice is cooling, melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or using a double boiler until smooth

Spread the cooked sushi rice evenly onto a large plate or sushi mat

Drizzle the melted chocolate over the rice in a decorative pattern

Arrange the strawberries, mango slices, kiwi slices, raspberries, and toasted coconut flakes on top of the chocolate-covered rice

Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and, if desired, decorate with edible gold leaf

Using a sharp knife, slice the chocolate-covered rice into individual sushi-sized pieces

Serve immediately and enjoy!
